About Me

About Me

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Weizmann Institute of Science, in the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences. Working within the Lab of Plant Secondary Metabolism under the supervision of Prof. Asaph Aharoni, my current research focuses on the intricate “chemical talk” and metabolic cross-kingdom interactions between Duckweed (Lemna) and its natural microbiome.

My academic journey is driven by a passion for sustainable development and environmental bioengineering. I specialize in plant sciences, microbiology, and analytical chemistry, with a specific interest in extracellular vesicles as mediators of inter-kingdom communication.

Research Philosophy

I believe in bridging the gap between fundamental science and real-world applications. My work spans from engineering bacteria-seaweed symbioses for bioethanol production to developing innovative solutions for global food security and iodine supply.

Beyond the Lab

I am deeply committed to scientific education and outreach. I mentor outstanding high school students in the “Alpha” program and at the Ecological Greenhouse in Ein Shemer. Additionally, I explore the intersection of science and society through Bio-Art and Bio-Design, collaborating with institutions like the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design and Columbia University.
